I am an Austin dog dad and blues cat looking for opportunities to collaborate with non-profit organizations as a Software Engineer. My background in software spans 10 years and includes: Technical Support Engineer, software development and project management. I acquried skills in Python, SQL, Javascript from University of Texas at Austin in Data Analysis and data visualization program.
Interested in the potential of using open reasearch in rooting out bias. Currently, I am voluntueering with the nonprofit OpenAustin and helping to create an inviting Slack experience by building Welcome Bot.
Recently completed a web scraping project using, Python, Selenium, JavaScript, and Flask to visualize current articles about Mars missions and general “Red planet” data.
Strengths include: bringing entusiasm to the "idea phase", the curiosity of a Trekkie playing 20 questions with Sir. Patrick Stewart and a knack for collaborating across diverse, globally distributed teams.

An automated pipeline that takes in raw data from Wikipedia, MovieLens and The Movie Database, then performs the appropriate transformations and finally loads the data into existing tables connected to a database.
